The Aesthetica Art Prize 2017 is open for entries. Now in its 11th year, the Prize presents an opportunity for emerging and established artists to showcase their work to new international audiences and further their engagement in the art world.

Prizes include:

July 22 from noon to 6pm - CALL FOR ENTRIES 2017 - Sculpture Competition & Art Festival. The Town of North Beach is placing a call for entries for SUNRISE: A Celebration of the Arts

OUTDOOR SCULPTURE COMPETITION - The Town of North Beach is seeking approximately FIVE outdoor sculptures to be displayed for one year at the Sunrise Garden located at the corner of 3rd Street & Bay Avenue.  Prizes: 1st Place $1,000; 2nd Place $750; 3rd Place $500; 4th Place $250; 5th Place $100

ART FESTIVAL - The Town of North Beach is seeking juried artists to display at the SUNRISE: A Celebration of the Arts festival. This festival will be held in conjunction with the Annual MD Wineries Association event, DRINKMARYLAND.  Prizes: 1st Place $500; 2nd Place $250; 3rd Place $100. Friday, August 25 - ROBBIE BOOTHE TO PERFORM AT THE CALVERT MARINE MUSEUM -- Local favorite, Robbie Boothe, was just added to the Brothers Osborne concert line-up on Friday, August 25, at the Calvert Marine Museum PNC Waterside Pavilion! This St. Mary's County rising star will sing some of his Southern Maryland original songs – “Pick-up Line,” “Love My Life,” “A Night Like This,” “Summertime Sunlight,” “Beautiful Baby Girl,” and so many more!

Don't miss this opportunity to see three great performers Robbie Boothe, Tucker Beathard, and the Brothers Osborne perform live at 7:30 p.m. in Solomons, Maryland! "EXPRESS CHARLES COUNTY IN ART" - a themed all-media juried show sponsored by Mattawoman Creek Art Center

An abundance of scenic vistas, historic sites, rivers, towns, farms, and county and state parks that depict life in Charles County, MD, are among the many opportunities available to artists. The choices are endless. This show is open to artists 18 years of age and older. Awards total $1l800. Two and three-dimensional artwork and photography will be accepted. Entries must have been created in 2017, before the delivery dale on September 8.  Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 pieces, before July 31. After that date the fee is $45. The call for entry which includes a copy of the rules is available on the website or at the art center. The show opens on September 22, 2017 to exhibit and sell selected art, and closes on October 29, 2017.
