

Call for artists!
Art & Agriculture Show
ACCC is excited to invite regional artists to submit for a themed show that will be displayed at the Children’s Day at the Farm event at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM) on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Submitted artwork should align with themes of agriculture and Southern Maryland area landscapes.
This is an open show for artists in the Southern Maryland region (Calvert, St. Mary's , and Charles counties)

ELIGIBILITY: Artists from Calvert, St. Mary’s or Charles counties.

DESCRIPTION: The art show will be displayed alongside the Calvert Heritage Committee’s Student Photography Contest in the JPPM Exhibit Barn. Cash prizes ($100 each) will be awarded in the following categories:
• Stunning Southern Maryland Landscape Award
• Best Barn Award
• Fantastic Farm Animal Award
• Farm Fresh Award
• Exceedingly Eclectic Award

SCHEDULE: Applications accepted: April 1st— May 10, 2025

NOTIFICATION of Acceptance and Confirmation: May 14-16th
​
DELIVERY of artwork: Accepted artwork should be delivered to CalvART Gallery, located at 110 Solomons Island Rd, Prince Frederick, MD, between May 24-29th during regular gallery hours (11am-4pm).
SHOW DATE: Sunday, June 1, 2025 during the Children’s Day at the Farm event from 11am-4pm at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum, located at 10515 Mackall Road, St. Leonard, MD.
PICK UP: Artwork may be picked up after June 2nd at CalvART Gallery.
Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 pieces of work for the show. It should be ready to be hung with wire and finished backing. Work that is unusual in hanging requirements needs to be discussed prior to submission to determine if/how it can be placed. 2D artwork should not exceed 36” in width or height. Three-dimensional work should include dimensional details and be able to be displayed on a table. This show does not accept 3D work that is large, requiring floor display. There is an entry fee of $5.00 per artwork, payable by check, cash or credit card at delivery of artwork. A 30% commission will be taken from all works sold at the event. Sales will be processed through the Arts Council information table at the event.
