The Sawtooth Star

This square is sponsored by Phil and Joyce Pfanschmidt. The two-sided square is inspired by two quilts made by Sandy's grandmother. The side seen from the exterior of the shop window features a Sawtooth Star, with a checkerboard border. If visitors are fortunate to arrive during business hours, they can enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate along with freshly made pastries and scones and view the inside square featuring the 'stitches' of Sandy's grandmother's beautifully embroidered floral quilt. Sandy and her husband, Alan, were deciding whether opening a tea shop was on their path, when Sandy thought of her mother, who had passed away, and asked for her advice. A beautiful Monarch butterfly appeared and stayed close to Sandy throughout her morning. Sandy knew her mother was sending her a message to make her wishes come true, and Butterflies & Wishes Tea & Sweets became a reality and is a lovely, whimsical place to relax and reconnect with friends and family.
