Elaine Davy Strong

Elaine Davy Strong was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Showing early art talent, Davy studied art at Virginia Commonwealth University and moved in 1973 to Calvert County where she renovated houses. Davy worked at the National Gallery in Washington in their Photo Lab and worked as a restorer of art objects at a shop in Washington. She is a prodigious painter of striking landscapes and beautiful water scenes. She and her husband share a daughter Elizabeth and an adopted Korean son Morgan.
