.
Linda is a functional pottery artist marketing pots under the name Linnea Jones Pottery. She makes stoneware and porcelain pots — hand-built and thrown on the wheel — for everyday use, including planters, lidded jars, clocks, utensil holders, and ramen bowls. She enjoys experimenting with different surface techniques, glazes, and quirky mixed-media effects. Linda particularly likes pairing clay planters with interesting plants, such as bonsai, orchids, and succulents.
Linda has been working with clay since college, on and off over the years. She retired to North Beach, MD, in 2018, when she finally had more time to learn about pottery. Working with clay is very much an ongoing adventure!
In addition to her recent membership at CalvArt, she has been a studio member of the District Clay Center in Washington, D.C.; a student at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, MD; a member of SoCo Arts Lab in Tracy’s Landing, MD; and a member of Artworks@7th Gallery in North Beach, MD.
