Tara Tokarski

My name is Tara Tokarski. Here's a little about myself: I have a master's degree in
illustration and minors in art history, education, and fashion design. I have also been a
college professor for 16 years, which feels like quite a long time. I have illustrated
several children's books for Barnes & Noble and currently have several more in
progress. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of teaching students and creating
branding for various companies, helping them establish their brand identities. For
several years, I worked as a production coordinator, illustrator, and storyboard artist
for a multimedia entertainment company, where we produced several award-winning
videos and animations. As a fine artist, I regularly participate in group gallery shows
and have exhibited my work at the Orlando Museum of Art, City Arts Factory, and
other galleries in Central Florida. I've also shown at the Anna Marie Sculpture
Gardens and with the Maryland Federation of Art based in Annapolis. A personal
highlight for me is that Martha Stewart featured my illustrated Halloween cookbook in
her "Favorite Things" blog, which was a thrilling moment. I work in various mediums,
